Last week (and this most of this week) were filled with good things, but not very fun or exciting things, like studying for my Fetal Echo boards! I finally took it Saturday, but I won’t know the results for 60-ish days, so only time will tell!
My days had been spent (for what felt like far too long) in the books and not with friends, so when Natalee, Marcelo, and Peter suggested going out and doing something together Saturday evening, I was wholeheartedly on board!
We ended up deciding to go to a fun center, which had an arcade, putt-putt, go-carts, the works! We did just about everything!
We started off in the arcade and had more fun than I expected! Turns out I hadn’t grown out of all the games (and when competition is involved to spice things up, it’s amazing what kind of fun can be found!)
We found a photo booth and got some prints to take home as a momento of the fun we had!

We then followed up with some go-cart racing!

Peter and I didn’t beat out our competitors, but we had some Fast and Furious soundtrack music blasting and lots of laughs, so we won in our own way!
We then played 9 holes of putt-putt before dashing off to a steakhouse for a late dinner!

We made time for a few pictures along the way, which captured just how much fun we were having.

As the seasons change around me, so do I sense them changing within as well. My eventual departure is coming up more and more in conversations and the end of October draws nearer day by day.
These are busy days, with less events and more moments. More savoring, more lingering, more holding of my breath, as I wish for it all to last just a little while longer.
I realize that it perhaps doesn’t make for entertaining blogging material, but it sure does make for a sweet life.
