I got to hang with my Raleigh-based friend, Hilary, again! We hadn’t seen each other since the 4th of July rally (and even then, that was brief).

We met up after I got off work at a restaurant close by to my workplace. It was a place new to us both and we had a blast! The food was yummy and the conversations were sweet!
Friday morning, I attended the first of three sessions of a seminar virtually to help me prepare for my Fetal Echo boards.

It was reassuring to feel like I was tracking along with what was being covered and being able to connect knowledge I’ve gained over the years as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonographer with the knowledge I need to pass the boards.
Saturday and Sunday morning were spent attending the following two sessions. Most of the house was either gone at the beach or away visiting family, so I was left in an empty house.
Being an extrovert makes solitude a little more difficult, but being in a house that is usually bustling with life and now quiet was actually pretty terrible.
By the time people began to return home, I was eager to interact with human beings again.
Sunday was a full, but fun day. Two of Natalee’s sisters, niece, and nephew came over, along with several friends from our chapel Bible study.

It was a day mixed with both productivity and fun. One notable fun moment was undergoing Nerf battles with several of the kids!
