This week wasn’t quite as packed as previous weeks, but a lot of good things still occurred within it!
Wednesday evening, I went over to Julie’s, who lives on the same street as the Allen’s, house for dinner (unfortunately, I forgot to grab a pic with her). It’s so energizing to get to meet new people, learn about their lives, and see them operate within that!
Thursday evening, Claire and I made some apple crisp for the house. It was a hit! Claire is quite the chef, so it was fun to do something she loves alongside her.

I so enjoyed the time of chatting and laughter with my housemates as we prepped, baked, and enjoyed our dessert.
The kitchen is a natural gathering place and when a house has as many people in it as ours does, there’s a good chance there will always been one or two people to spend time with! When it’s a healthy-sized group, even better! As the saying goes: the more, the merrier!
Saturday, I went over to Tatiana’s for some waffles before we went to a secondhand book store and thrift store!

I found treasures at both places, so it was a treat of a day! The rest of the afternoon was spent watching the kiddos’ soccer and flag football games and watching a movie with friends!
Sunday, several of my housemates and I went to church together to celebrate the baptism of one of the girls Anna nannies!
We aren’t often this gussied up, so we had to get picture proof!

I wouldn’t call myself a particularly cuddly person, but something I’ve found is that a great way to love my housemates well is by doing so. I saw my opportunity Sunday afternoon and a couple others joined in!
It’s a precious thing to find friends who you can have fun with and who delight in loving you as much as you delight in loving them.

Sunday evening, Lauren, a woman named Ballard (who also lives on the Allen’s street), Mia, and I went to watch the new Top Gun movie!

I wouldn’t recommend watching it right before you go to bed…because it was adrenaline-inducing! I was so pumped by the end of it, it was an effort to go to sleep afterwards!
