Does anyone else portion out time? I was never a math aficionado, but I find myself tracking time by fractioning it. For example, I am now a third of the way through this assignment! Wowzers!
I befriended a girl named Hilary at the women’s retreat last weekend who lives in Raleigh, so I met up with her for dinner after work Monday!

The evening was filled with yummy food and “salty” (Matthew 5:13) conversation! It’s wonderful to widen my world to make room for more people to know and friends to cherish!

We’ve got a Bob Ross paint night on the calendar with other friends joining in, so I’m excited for that!

Wednesday night, the whole house (plus a soldier named Peter) all ate dinner together, then went out for ice cream at a local spot. So, every person in the picture above, minus one, all live under one roof! Isn’t that crazy…and awesome?!
We switched out between the ride to and from to take turns riding in Peter’s convertible. It was an absolute blast and made for sprinkles on icing on cake of a day!

Thursday morning, on my way to work, the car curse struck again: I hit a deer on the highway.

This made for a taxing day, but I’m thankful I had people both near and far for support and help.
The extended weekend and its plans were something that were that much more appreciated when it arrived. My roommates, a new friend named Tatiana, and I all went to the Outer Banks!
It was a four and a half hour car ride to the beach, so we spent the time chatting, listening to music, reading, and napping.

We arrived in the afternoon, half of us going grocery shopping and the half heading straight for the beach!

The weather was great the entire weekend, so we made sure to enjoy it!

I enjoyed it a little too much and got roasted on Saturday. So, I spent Sunday indoors and allowed my skin the time to recover.

It was a great time and I’m so thankful to know and grow closer to these women. They are so kind, thoughtful, and fun!
What a ride this first third has been! Here’s to savoring the rest of the time I have here!
