*Hey, guys! This week you’re getting a “two fer”, as I completely neglected to post this weekly update in due time. I hope you enjoy!*
As each day passes, I’m settling more and more into my life here. Again, the battle ensues between choosing to rest after a long week or to explore the area. This weekend, I think I found the happy middle.
Two girls I met at church and I got together for lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant. I enjoyed a glass of Vietnamese iced coffee while nomming on a gigantic bowl of pho. We learned about each other, shared our plans and how God is working on us in this season, and planned future escapades.

Later that day, I met up with another friend who we met through a mutual friend who lives in the area. It was another instance of getting-to-know-you around watching the new Ocean’s Eight movie and eating at a sandwich shop.

God has never failed to provide friendships in the different areas I have traveled to. I have met so many women over the years, all varying in backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, and skills. I have foodies, diy-ers, mothers, pranksters, artists, entrepreneurs, intellectuals, free spirits, and wives all in my corner and it is because of their influence that I have been crafted into the person I am. If it is true that we become like the people we surround ourselves with, I look forward to continuing to grow and flourish into a Godly woman of purpose, knowledge, gentleness, and nurturing.
